About Rezare House Bed & Breakfast - Wallaroo
Whilst we are a relative new comer to the local accommodation scene, we have enjoyed many years of consistently high ratings on TripAdvisor® and know that our bespoke bed and breakfast will appeal to the discerning guest who is seeking quality both in accommodation and breakfast options.
Whether you come for one night or stay for longer it is our intention is that you will want to come back, having had a restful enjoyable stay.
We have included many eco features in our B&B such as solar power, solar hot water, rain water harvesting, and provide you with a room recycling bag so we can recycle as much as our local council will accept. We compost all our vegetable scraps on site.
Our newly established gardens are focused primarily on Australian natives, with a few exotic roses and frangipani for colour and scent. We have planted several fruit trees that will soon supply us with fruit to continue to make our home-made jams and marmalades. The eggs for your breakfast will be provided by our own Isa Brown chickens who live in the back yard. Please note there is no rooster, so there will be no early morning wake up calls! Local native birds are colonising our garden area and we have many regular feathered guests using our bird bath and feeding table.
We accept pet guests, who will stay with you in your room and our two animal family members, Monty – a Cornish Lurcher and PJ our marmalade cat, will be happy to welcome all of you to Rezare House.
Monty has a few house rules for dogs who visit, and he has modified these over the years he supervised the four guest bedrooms of Rezare Farmhouse. We totally understand that your dog is part of your family so that is why we have always welcomed well behaved dogs. Our local beaches are perfect for dog exploring. We have dog bowls for water, please bring your own food and bedding. We ask that dogs are not allowed on the beds – the handmade quilts are not designed for dog play. All dog waste should be bagged, we can dispose of it should this be needed. Please don’t leave your dog alone in the room, common sense should prevail at all times to prevent damage to the house or garden area, using a lead when coming and going is, as Monty has found out over the years, best for all concerned.
Why Rezare House – we moved from Rezare, a tiny village on the River Tamar in North East Cornwall, where our B&B was the original farmhouse in the village. We could not give up on what was a fabulous time in our lives, so we thought it apt to continue the Cornish theme given that we are living on the Copper Coast within Australia’s Little Cornwall – it just seemed appropriate.
We will ensure that your stay with us is as good as we can make it, and we hope that the website has given you an idea of what we offer you, our guest. We are more than happy to answer any questions and if we don’t know the answer, we are sure to know another local resident who does. Contacting us direct will often enable to you receive very personal service and find the best available price for your stay.
